Edusite Scholars

A place where scholars meet to share insights into all levels of education to inform policy and practice. Scholar practitioners in K-12 education and expert scholars in higher education provide deep content knowledge in 21st century issues in education. This channel is great for parents, teachers, elementary school principals, high school principals, assistant principals, boards of education, community members, education activists, politicians, and anyone who cares about their community. The quality of schools impacts the community it serves. The Black community is suffering from underfunded schools, the school to prison pipeline, and other inequitable issues in the flawed system that was built in the 1800’s prior to the Emancipation Proclamation. Black people were not included in the development of public schools; therefore, the system was created based upon Eurocentric values that no longer fit this generation of Americans who protested racism and white supremacy in 2020.
